Water for life
The Water for Life Foundation was founded in 2004 by Dutch drinking water companies and is committed to achieving clean water and sanitary facilities in countries where this is not self-evident, especially in Africa and Asia. Water for Life installs water pipes and connects people to the water network and builds toilets at schools. Hygiene training is also given to increase awareness.
Sustainability is guaranteed through collaboration with local water companies, which take care of maintenance and management after completion of the project. Dutch and local water experts monitor the quality of the implementation of the projects.
